
Scott worked for ABC News, Good Morning America for 15 years where he worked his way up the ladder eventually becoming a producer of breaking news and long format features. As he continued to climb the ranks Scott became the shows control room coordinating producer and editorial content coordinating producer. During his time at ABC News, Scott’s covered some of the most important historical moments of the past 20 years such as the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Iraq war, papal conclave, Presidential elections and Inauguration, global rescission, hurricane Katrina, royal wedding, and the Syrian uprising. The urge to return home to Michigan brought Scott to Detroit Public Television where he serves as the Detroit Journalism Cooperative’s Regional Editor. Since joining the team he has been responsible for telling the story of Detroiters who otherwise wouldn’t have a voice by attacking the issues our criticizes face on a daily basis. Scotts decorated accomplishments include DuPont – Columbia Award, Emmy – National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Michigan Emmy – National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, George Foster Peabody Award, Cable ACE Award and a Nominee – GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding TV Journalism.
